Former US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to launch his own social network, TRUTH Social, which is expected to launch in beta next month, AFP reported.
It is noted that the platform will belong to the newly formed Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).
“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech” Trump said.
YouTube reportedly temporarily suspended Trump’s account on January 12, six days after the storming of the Capitol, which killed five people. Similar decisions were also resorted to by Facebook and Twitter, which announced that it would not restore Trump’s account, even if he again runs for president.
In March, Donald Trump and his wife Melania launched their own website. The platform was relatively small at the time of launch and contained information on the results of Trump’s activities in the White House.
